SLATE, the Midwest Blackboard Users Group - Chicago - October 9-10, 2008

SLATE, the Midwest Blackboard Users Group, invites you to submit a proposal for a presentation, panel discussion, or poster session at the 2008 SLATE Conference to be held in Chicago on Thursday and Friday, October 9-10, 2008. Faculty, support staff, systems administrators, librarians, and students from K-12 though Higher-Ed are encouraged to participate in this event and share their ideas. A few of the previous topics have discussed:

• Pedagogy of Online Learning
• Web 2.0 Gizmos & Gadgets
• Emerging Faculty Support Strategies
• Using Blackboard in the Foreign Language Classroom
• Using Blackboard via an iPhone
• Using Blogs & Wikis for Collaboration and Learning
• Making Campus Support Work Effectively
• Disability Access Issues in Blackboard
• Blended Learning Partnerships Between Universities
• Copyright & Fair Use
• RSS and Academic Library Services
• Teaching in the 21st Century - are you there yet?
• Creating Reusable Learning Objects for Curriculum Alignment

To submit a proposal, go to the SLATE home page, http://slategroup.uchicago.edu and/or click on the "Submit a Proposal" link. That will take you to the online submission form. The deadline for submissions is July 25, 2008. Early submission is recommended. Submission of a proposal does not guarantee acceptance for a presentation. After review, you will be notified regarding the status of your submission.
